There is nothing better than receiving a piece of mail. It's slow and simple. Don't we need more of that these days?  I've used Mackenzie's cards to connect with friends, family, clients, and members of my community to remind them how powerful they are.  I pick words that remind me of them and then hand decorate a card that will make them smile, feel loved, and encourage them to pass it on.  Is there anything better?

We gave personalized gifts to our staff since we couldn’t be together for our annual Christmas party. We knew that Mackenzie’s ‘You are’ cards would be the perfect accompaniment to let everyone know how appreciated they are. Each partner wrote one word to describe each person. It literally brought tears to my eyes reflecting on how special and wonderful each team member is. We had such positive feedback, including some encouraging words returned back to us. It’s not always easy to do something so personal for the people you work with, but the fact that our amazing staff was encouraged in such a memorable way was totally worth it. We recommend Mackenzie’s cards to anyone who wants to encourage their team!

I used the “cherished” card to write to friends who lost babies during pregnancy. I wanted them to know they were seen and their pain was carried with me too.

I’m a card collector. It must run in my family because my grandmother did the same thing. Whenever I see the card section, I rack my brain for whose birthday, anniversary, etc is coming up and purchase a few cards to have around when something came up. When Compliment Card Co. (now Encourage Everybody) first started, of course I had to be a part of it! I loved the cards, the handmade touches, and their messages of encouragement. They were perfect to keep on hand for any occasion (I even gave my husband a “lovely” card on Valentine’s Day ❤️). But what do you do or say when someone you know, love, and look up to tells you they have cancer? “I’m so sorry. That sucks. How can I help?” The old standbys seemed to fall really flat. Then I remember my cards. Two words- Strong. Brave. - and one phrase- “you are not alone” felt like the perfect messages to help our friend know and feel that she, in fact, was not alone. Im so grateful for these cards.

I used the “brave” card to send to a friend who was in the midst of a lot of heaviness. that card gave me the space to intentionally encourage her. She’s had the outside of the card, “brave”, hung on her wall for the past year and i love seeing it and knowing it meant something to her.
